This project is about creating inclusive children’s books for every little face out there! Here at J.L.H Kid’s books, our goal is to bring positivity and laughter to the whole family, while tickling young minds with inspiring messages!
Each book comes with a fully illustrated story, a coloring book, and pictures of the original sketches that sparked the idea for that particular book from the author. What are you waiting for? Take a peek… maybe your child will be inspired to create their own story!
When I was a child, I sang for the public on the New York city blocks of Broadway Street to pay for the classes of everything I loved to busy myself with when I was little. Ballet, gymnastics, karate, singing, drums, and violin classes – until I landed roles in television and movies. Before my new life as an actress began, I rode the subway trains to school from 168th to 42nd, and I buried my nose in piles of books. Books ranging from Louisa May Alcott’s “Little Women”, Robert Graves “Greek Myths,” to Judith Viorst’s “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.” These books inspired me, while cultivating my creativity. They also drowned out the busy street noises on my way to and from school. Between those magical pages I found myself, and I learned there was a whole new passionate world of wonder out there I wanted to explore. Whether I explored it with my own two feet and grass between my toes, or from behind a gilded pen peacefully seated at a stormy paned window, it is still possible. Anything you put your mind to is very much possible…and as a small child It is that wonder and creativity stirred inside me, like little butterfly wings, that I have decided I want to share.
